The Bible clearly teaches that giving (including money) is just one demonstration of commitment to the work and ministry of the church to which we belong. Being a generous people provides the church with the resources to do things well, and allows us to demonstrate God’s generosity in what we give away.
We don’t teach a particular percentage, as defined in the Old Testament (10% of gross income), but rather, with that as a guideline, that “each [person] should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7).
Ways to give…
1. Automated Bank Debit

An Automated Bank Debit is the easiest and most effective way to automate your giving. Once you have set it up, you may update or change your giving at any time simply by contacting the Vineyard office. An additional benefit of this method is that there are no processing fees so 100% of your gift goes to the Vineyard!
To sign up, download an auto debit form and mail or fax the completed form to the Vineyard office to have your giving automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. Full instructions are on the debit form.
4 Benefits to Automating Your Giving:
- You are taking a step of faith – When you sign up to give automatically you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. God blesses that kind of faith!
- You make your life a little bit simpler – You don’t need to remember whether you gave this month. And if you are out of town, or on vacation, you don’t need to think about it.
- You will be helping the church – Every person who gives through automatic giving makes our record keeping easier.
- You can focus on worship at church – Instead of having to get out a pen and write out an envelope and check, you can focus entirely on worship.
2. Online Credit/Debit through Google Checkout
You can make a one-time (for now) donation online which is securely processed through Google’s checkout system. The process is safe, simple, and secure and your bank or debit card information is used by Google for the sole purpose of processing this transaction and never shared with us.
To start, enter your donation amount below and click on the Donate button. You will be forwarded to Google’s secure website where you will enter your information and complete the transaction.
3. Check or Cash
Like the old fashioned days, you can still drop a check or cash in the basket or mail a check to the church office. We encourage people to put cash in an envelope with your name so that at year’s end we can mail a record of your giving for tax exemption.

4. Other Creative Ways to Give
We’ve had folks transfer stocks, donate cars, etc. If you can think of it, we will certainly try to make it happen!
